As the story goes, Mick found his way into solar by mistake. While working for a backup power manufacturer in 2005, he quickly learned that one of the company’s products (called a solar inverter) was beginning to gain some market share in the California market. That would be the beginning of a memorable solar career—where he has chosen to remain ever since.
As the Vice President of Business Development at Radian Generation, Mick manages the front-end customer interactions, marketing, and the overall outward product strategy for asset management, compliance and risk, and software. Mick also leads Radian’s contract negotiations where he can lean on his many years of experience with multimillion-dollar capital equipment and EPC contracts.
Prior to joining Radian Generation, Mick worked for some of the renewable industry’s high-profile solar and construction companies where he served in senior management roles. Some of those companies include IEA, Cupertino Electric, Suntech, and First Solar. Mick has a strong background in power and solar with most of his career focused on managing technical sales and operations in both renewable energy and critical backup power.
When not working, Mick enjoys running, traveling, and learning history—and when not traveling, he can usually be found at home hanging out with his wife and their cats and dog.
